Alfred P. Sloan Foundation

Funded by a $49,000 grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the DSA and University Libraries are leading the Models for Sustainable and Inclusive Data Science Consulting and Collaboration in Higher Education workshop series.

Atrium Health: Wake Forest Baptist

Atrium Health is a nationally recognized leader in shaping health outcomes through innovative research, education and compassionate patient care.

Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications (COMAP)

A non-profit mathematics education organization has donated $60,000 to the Science House and the DSA to support high school programming that gets more students interested in data science.

data.org: Capacity Accelerator Network (CAN)

The Data Science Academy (DSA) was awarded $106,950 to create an internship course focused on data science for social good. The course will connect students to government, nonprofit and community serving organizations to help them research and analyze problems related to social impact.

Data Science 4 Everyone

Data Science for Everyone is a coalition advancing data science education so that every K-12 student is equipped with the data literacy skills needed to succeed in our modern world. Equitable access to data science education is an opportunity to open doors to higher education, high-paying careers, and an engaged community.

National Institutes of Health

The National Institutes of Health is made up of 27 different components called Institutes and Centers. Each has its own specific research agenda, often focusing on particular diseases or body systems.

National Science Foundation

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded the DSA $1,249,352 over the course of three years to hire four postdoctoral fellows who will develop, implement, scale, and share a long-term, robust research program that assesses the efficacy of the ADAPT model and related courses.

NC Department of Health and Human Services

DHHS has granted the DSA $28,109 to develop a fifteen-week course customized to support DCDEE staff to develop data analysis capacity.

N.C. Plant Science Initiative

The North Carolina Plant Sciences Initiative (N.C. PSI), the global hub for plant science innovation, brings together the brightest minds in academia, government and industry to drive vital research and innovation.

Office of Research and Innovation

The Office of Research and Innovation helps creators and problem-solvers change the world.

State Employees’ Credit Union

The SECU Public Fellows Internship Program provides summer internship opportunities to undergraduate students seeking an internship with a nonprofit or government agency in North Carolina. The Career Development Center helped students connect with companies, and the DSA worked to help integrate a data mini-project for all SECU Interns.

Vontier

Vontier is a global industrial technology company focused on smarter transportation and mobility, and their headquarters is located in Raleigh. The DSA Consulting program developed a sponsorship with Vontier to the GRAs to provide consultations on their collected data.

Academic Data Science Alliance

A community network for academic data science leaders, practitioners and educators.

American Statistical Association: DataFest

The American Statistical Association (ASA) DataFest is a celebration of data in which teams of undergraduates work around the clock to find and share meaning in a large, rich, and complex data set.

Hi-Rise Research Team

The HI-RiSE team aims to create effective statistics and data science education learning environments and impact the education of teachers and students from around the world.

Meredith College

Two teams represented Meredith College at DataFest. This is a huge step for the DSA as we work to collaborate with other institutions and bring the data science community together.

The National Consortium for Data Science

The National Consortium for Data Science (NCDS) is a collaboration of leaders in academia, industry and government formed to address the data challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
