About

The Data Science and AI Academy supports NC State as a leading Data Science and AI University.

Our Mission

Rooted in NC State’s land-grant commitment to service and innovation, the NC State Data Science and AI Academy (DSA) is dedicated to supporting the Wolfpack in a data-driven world. We strive to provide transformative educational experiences, foster groundbreaking research and cultivate collaborative partnerships that advance the frontiers of data science and artificial intelligence (AI). Through our commitment to excellence, we equip students with the knowledge, skills and ethical understanding necessary to address complex challenges and shape a future where data empowers positive change.

Our courses, consulting, research enablement and programming reach all university colleges and NC State Libraries, facilitating conversations with interdisciplinary communities on and beyond campus.

From Our Director

“I am grateful to Dr. Alyson Wilson, Associate Vice Chancellor for National Security and Special Research Initiatives, for her leadership of the Data Science Institute (DSI). Her vision and hard work with collaborator Dr. Emily Griffith, advisors across the University and support from the Office of Research Innovation and the Provost, made possible the growth of the DSI and its transformation into the NC State Data Science Academy.”

– Rachel Levy

Focus on Data Science and AI
