This Wednesday, students from the SECU Public Fellows Internship Program & Data Science and AI Academy Internship Program came together to showcase their projects, celebrating the strong partnerships between the NC State Career Development Center, the SECU Foundation, the NC State Data Science & AI Academy, and the many nonprofit and government organizations across North Carolina that support these experiences.
The passion and dedication brought to the table by the students was incredible to see; the DSA would like to congratulate each and every one of them on their work. While fostering lifelong connections, these students created projects could all have potential real-world impacts. Here`s to another year of partnership and innovation!

Generative AI can write code, translate text and produce complex documents with remarkable fluency. But what happens when it gets something wrong?
Join us for AI Hot Topics: Assurance and Oversight of Generative AI, a panel examining how organizations can evaluate AI outputs, manage risk and determine whether processes designed to catch human error also work for AI.
The panel brings together perspectives from government, academia and industry:
• Mike Green, Laboratory for Analytic Sciences • Michelle Rodenburg, UNC School of Law and UNC Law Library • Chris Provan, Vega Health
Moderated by Jascha Swisher of the Laboratory for Analytic Sciences.

With help from the Wolfpack, DSA developed the AI at NC State website, a central hub for AI resources and guidance on campus. Explore a range of AI tools, resources and guidance designed to support and enhance your teaching, learning, research and work.
“I would encourage any NC State student curious about data science and AI to take a DSA class. The courses are approachable and focus less on heavy technical pressure and more on building a clear understanding of data science and AI concepts. It’s a great way to explore the field while developing both technical and problem-solving skills.”
