Zarifa Zakaria
Bio
Dr. Zakaria’s research concentrates on improving teaching and learning experiences within the sphere of STEM+C educational technologies. Her Ph.D. work emphasized improving the collaboration quality in elementary computer science classrooms and exploring the motivation of underrepresented students in STEM. She also brings insights from her experience in evaluating effectiveness of educational technologies. As a postdoctoral researcher, Dr. Zakaria is eager to extend this focus to the context of the Data Science Academy, particularly by exploring the teaching-learning dynamics in data science courses.
