NC State AI Fellows
A cross-college faculty cohort advancing collaboration, leadership and research in artificial intelligence at North Carolina State University
The Deans and Data Science and AI Academy (DSA) AI Fellows Program brings together faculty from across NC State’s colleges who are positioned to lead, connect and grow interdisciplinary work in artificial intelligence (AI).
Through regular meetings, collaborative discussions and applied activities, Fellows explore emerging opportunities in AI and help strengthen the university’s ability to respond to research, funding and partnership opportunities.
What Fellows Do
AI Fellows contribute to a collaborative, university-wide effort to advance AI research and engagement. Activities include:
- Participating in facilitated sessions focused on leadership and team development
- Exploring interdisciplinary opportunities in artificial intelligence
- Connecting researchers, ideas and resources across colleges
- Contributing to conversations that shape AI strategy and collaboration at NC State
Sessions may include engagement with campus partners such as research leadership, grants professionals and members of the AI Advisory Group.
Program Outcomes
Through this work, Fellows help:
- Strengthen NC State’s capacity for team-based AI research
- Identify and connect AI-active faculty across colleges
- Support the development of collaborative research ideas and concept papers
- Advance interdisciplinary partnerships that position NC State for future opportunities
