Bio

Dr. Jeanne McClure is a postdoctoral fellow at NC State University’s Data Science and AI Academy and a GenAI data scientist. Her work focuses on large language models, prompt engineering, and project-based learning to advance data science education. She is a former National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) fellow, serves on the UNC System AI Pedagogy Committee, is a 2025 Posit Cloud Opportunity Grant recipient, and a member of the Association for Data Science in Academia (ADSA) working group on aligning workforce knowledge, skills, abilities, and tools (KSATs) with graduate-level data science competencies. As part of her postdoc at NC State’s Data Science and AI Academy, Jeanne provides AI enablement —helping faculty, staff, and students integrate large language models into teaching, research, and everyday workflows through hands-on training, strategic support, and ethical guidance.
